Why charter in French Riviera?

The French Riviera — the Côte d'Azur — is where superyacht charter began. The infrastructure is unmatched: deep-water marinas, Michelin-starred provisioning, and a shoreline that moves between beach clubs, hilltop villages, and the most famous harbour in the world.

The season opens with the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix — two weeks in May when every berth from Antibes to Monaco is taken and day rates double. If you want to be in Monaco for the Grand Prix, you need to book at least six months in advance.

June is the sweet spot: the weather is settled, the crowds are manageable, and the anchorages at Cap d'Antibes and Île Sainte-Marguerite are still accessible without a queue. July and August are peak season — the Riviera is at full capacity, prices are highest, and the experience is at its most cinematic. September is underrated: the water is warmest, the summer crowds have thinned, and marinas have more availability.

The standard Riviera itinerary runs from Cannes west to Saint-Tropez, with stops at Pampelonne Beach, the Îles d'Hyères, and the calanques near Marseille. Heading east from Cannes, the route passes Antibes, Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Monaco, and Menton before crossing into Italian waters at Bordighera. Most clients do one direction in a week.

Provisioning on the Riviera is exceptional. Cannes, Antibes, and Monaco all have established ship chandlers and gourmet provisioners who can supply anything from a case of Pétrus to a specific Japanese whisky within hours.    Review the MYBA charter agreement

   Once you select a yacht, MY OCEAN prepares the MYBA standard charter agreement. The deposit is typically 50% of the charter fee. The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) covers fuel, food, and marina fees — typically 30–35% of the charter fee.

   Board and depart

   The crew handles provisioning, routing, and all logistics. You arrive at the embarkation port and step aboard.
