About Dubai

Why charter in Dubai?

Dubai is the fastest-growing charter market in the world. The combination of year-round availability, a growing fleet of modern vessels, and a client base that expects immediacy makes it the natural home for MY OCEAN's Gulf operation. The city is the backdrop — Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, the Dubai Marina skyline — and the sea is the escape from it.

MY OCEAN operates a fleet of charter yachts in Dubai year-round. The Gulf season runs from October to April — the months when temperatures are between 20°C and 30°C and the sea is calm. July and August are possible but the heat is significant; most clients prefer the cooler months.

The standard Dubai charter day covers the Palm Jumeirah, the Burj Al Arab, and the Dubai Marina skyline. The view from the water is the best perspective on the city — the scale of the Palm, the geometry of the Marina, and the Burj Al Arab standing alone on its artificial island are all more impressive from the sea than from the shore.

For longer charters, the Musandam Peninsula in Oman is the destination. The fjords of Musandam — the Khor ash Sham, the Khor Najd — are among the most dramatic coastal landscapes in the Arabian Peninsula. The crossing from Dubai takes about four hours under power. Dolphins are common in the fjords, and the water is clear enough for snorkelling.

MY OCEAN accepts Bitcoin and USDT for Dubai charters. The Gulf client base includes a significant proportion of crypto-native clients, and the team has the infrastructure to handle crypto payments at scale. The process is straightforward: the client pays in crypto, MY OCEAN converts and pays the central agent in their preferred currency.

Dubai charters are available for day trips (minimum 3 hours), overnight, and weekly bookings. The fleet includes vessels that accommodate 6 to 10 guests across 3 to 5 cabins. Corporate events, private celebrations, and family charters are all regularly arranged.

"MY OCEAN has been arranging Dubai charters since 2020. Emily Cossey leads the charter desk and has personally arranged over 200 charters across the Arabian Gulf."

What to know

Dubai highlights.

Palm Jumeirah

The Palm Jumeirah is best seen from the water. The scale of the artificial island — 17 fronds, a 12km crescent, and the Atlantis hotel at the apex — is impossible to appreciate from land. A charter yacht gives you the full perspective.

Burj Al Arab

The Burj Al Arab stands on its own artificial island 280 metres offshore. The view from the water — the sail-shaped silhouette against the Dubai skyline — is the most photographed image of the city. Most Dubai charters pass within 200 metres of it.

Musandam Peninsula

The Musandam Peninsula in Oman is four hours from Dubai by sea. The fjords — Khor ash Sham, Khor Najd — are among the most dramatic coastal landscapes in the region. Dolphins are common, the water is clear, and the villages accessible only by boat have changed little in decades.

Dubai Marina

The Dubai Marina is the most concentrated collection of residential towers in the world. From the water, the scale is extraordinary. The marina itself has berths for visiting yachts, and the restaurants and beach clubs along the waterfront are accessible by tender.

Where to anchor

Key anchorages.

Palm Jumeirah Crescent
Anchor off the crescent for views of Atlantis and the full Palm. Calm water in most conditions.
Khor ash Sham, Musandam
The largest fjord in Musandam. Dramatic cliffs, clear water, and dolphin sightings are common. Accessible from Dubai in a day.
Dubai Marina
Berths available for visiting yachts. The waterfront restaurants and beach clubs are accessible by tender.
World Islands
The artificial archipelago off the Dubai coast. Calm anchorage with views of the city skyline.
